About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my website and a bigger THANK YOU for visiting my About Me page. I am Glenn and I am @GChristopherPhotos and GChristopherPhotography. To me, you are not just hiring someone to take photos, you are hiring someone to connect with you, your event, your athlete, your desires for outcome. Thank you for considering me. 

I've lived in Naples, FL since 1989 after moving from Rockville, MD, a suburb of Washington DC, where I spent my youth. The thought of living in year long paradise appealed to me so I packed up and moved with my parents to Bonita Springs, FL, a town just north of Naples. I started my life in FL working for Sears selling electronics and that is where I met my wife of 31 years. We live in a comfortable home with two children and a dog. 

Recently as of March 2019, I traded the corporate life to pursue photography full time after spending 26-years holding positions such as Vice President of Customer Service and Vice President of Sales. Most recently I was Vice President of Technical Services where I oversaw company projects related to the end-user product. 

Back in 2004, I got into photography after my brother-in-law traded up cameras and I bought his camera; a Konica-Minolta all in one. Wow, is that camera small to me now! I still have it and three others that got me to the point where I am now, with a full-frame Canon R6 (24-105 F4 RF) 1DX, along with an Olympus OMD EM- 1 Mark III with a set of five lenses for the Olympus; this is serious now! Some of my first photography opportunities were with church and Chick-fil-A. I moved on from there to photograph two plus years of events for Fifth Ave South business district in Naples. If you've seen photos from Fifth Ave South in the past, they may have been shot by me. I started shooting sports action photos by partnering with Fit Nation Magazine, the Gulf Coast Runners and Girls on the Run. Those were a lot of early mornings to cover their 5k races and marathons.

I now shoot for Collier Sports Insider online magazine along with being an authorized shooter and holder of credentials for GFCrew to shoot for the Babe Ruth youth sports league that includes Cal Ripken leagues. I have been a member of the DPISIG club in Naples.
